We provide a variety of services, and rates vary depending on your individual needs. Please contact us for specific information and a free phone consultation so we may be better able to specify what you can expect to pay when you arrive. Additionally, a case-by-case sliding scale may be available based on need, which is described in more detail below.
Payments: We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards (including HSA/FSA)
Late Cancellations/No-Show/Missed Appointments: Late Cancellations and No-Show/Missed Appointments will be charged at my full session rate, which is not covered by insurance. If you are consistency late or cancel regularly with short notice, we may discuss or plan to promote attendance or other alternatives that may better help you meet your scheduling needs and other related concerns.
Regarding HSA/FSA Spending Accounts: Counseling services are typically approved activities for HSA and flex-spending accounts.
We encourage you to contact your FSA/HSA provider to verify these benefits prior to meeting. You will be responsible for payment in full if services using these accounts are not covered.
Insurance and EAP Information:
We are in network for:
• Highmark
• Blue Cross Blue Shield
• Capital Blue Cross
We encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to our initial appointment to determine your benefits, as the information we receive from your carrier is not a guarantee of coverage.
If you do not have insurance coverage through one of the companies listed above, you may be eligible to submit claims for my services to your insurance company as an Out of Network benefit. We will gladly walk you through this process and, if possible, contact your carrier to determine your specific benefits prior to meeting with you. If needed, we can also discuss modified payment arrangements or the use of a sliding scale.
Advantages of Self Pay: There are advantages to being self-pay. This allows for complete privacy related to your mental health records, and will avoid any insurance company denying payment based on the perception that your services does not meet the criteria of medical necessity. This also avoids having a mental health diagnosis (which is required for any insurance company to bill, in or out of network).
